Read section 1 pages 313-317

Do 1 &3 on page 317 for homework.

The Objectives for this section are:

ò1. Describe the election of 1800 and explain the role of political parties

ò2. identify Jefferson’s achievements

ò3. Analyze Jefferson’s philosophy of government

ò4. Analyze the significance of Marbury v. Madison

If you were absent, focus on these as you read the section. We discussed all 4 in class today.
